Impressive debut for Leona Maguire

Leona Maguire has made an impressive start to her professional career with a Tied 15th place finish at The Shoprite LPGA Classic presented by Acer. Leona shot rounds of 69-67-69 in what was her first event as a professional. Going into the final round she was just six shots off the lead and went on to make five birdies and three bogeys for her 69. “I felt comfortable all week and didn’t really feel any pressure, I enjoyed the competition. Although I wasn’t that far off in the end I’m comforted that I didn’t play my best golf, so I know there’s more left in the tank.”

Leona moves on to The Forsyth Classic, Illinois, on The Symetra Tour this week which starts her campaign to gain full playing rights on The LPGA in 2019.
